Monroe
The project involved developing a menu design for the Monroe bar and lounge in San Francisco. The main goal was to create a visual style for the menu that matched the unique ambiance of the venue, which combines elements of art deco, 70s glamour, and 60s modernism.
Solution:
• Style research: The interior elements and the overall concept of the venue were studied. The characteristic features of the Monroe style were taken into account: luxurious and intricate patterns, rich textures, and vintage photographs referencing the historical past of the building where jazz legends performed.
• Design development: The menu was designed to harmonize with the bar's existing decor. Typography and layout were chosen to support the stated aesthetic while maintaining the readability and functionality important for a working tool in a venue.
This solution made it possible to create a holistic and attractive brand element that emphasizes the uniqueness of Monroe as a high-end bar and event venue.
